Mobile deals

So you’re a Globe Subscriber, and you’re wondering how you can save with your phone bill (unless your on prepaid). Here are some of the “deals” I use whenever I feel the need to save on my mobile expenses.

One day promo:
100 Text Messages (P15) – Send “Sulitxt 15″ to 2868
Unlimited Texting (P20) – Send “Unlitxt20″ to 2870
Call for P20/20minutes – replace 0 with 236 (ex. 236917-1234567) *i doubt this is for one day only*

For more promos, click here.

Of course, these rates apply for Globe-Globe/TM subscirbers only. How I just wish text messages and call rates became cheaper rather than having all these “promos” we consumers have to keep track of.

Note: This post is in no way paid for by Globe.
Globe Telecoms is a telecommunications company in the Philippines and is not owned by the blogger.

Cloud Breaker

Searchlights in action, Gibraltar 1940. (Imperial War Museum)
Taken from:
Wikipedia

Evaporation. Condensation. Precipitation.

Have you seen that light in the sky whenever Gotham City calls for Batman? Or during a red carpet event somewhere in Hollywood? Well, somehow those lights made its way in the small gentle town of Dumaguete.

Some residents call this light the “cloud breaker” simply because its believed to break any cloud formation in the sky so it doesn’t rain especially during city-wide events. How? Well, my friend believes that by applying heat to the clouds, it forces them to break apart since it will only rain if the clouds are cold and heavy. But by making the sky warmer, aren’t they making the air hold more water vapour thus increasing the possibility of rain? [read water: why does it rain?]

However, I believe these lights are simply search lights similar to those used during the world war. [read more @ Wikipedia]

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back?

The human “feeling” has always been unpredictable. No matter how much a person takes a step forward into the right direction, somehow, he always falls two steps back.

Well, that’s about it.
