CES Gadgets

Here are some of the gadgets showed off at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2009 which I find very exciting:

  • Palm Pre – This is Palm’s (last) attempt to revive their line of PDAs and mobile phones. It has a new operating system called the Palm Web OS. Read more at CNET.

  • Polaroid PoGo – Remember those old polaroid cameras? Well, they’ve been “transformed” into something more modern. Since Polaroid announced that it will no longer support the old Polaroid film (Instant Photography) , they have been working on this instead. Read more at Engadget.

  • Kinesis K2 – I’ve never seen a solar charger for mobile phones and gadgets yet but this has to be one of the smartest gadget ever made. Not only does this device takes its energy through solar but also in the wind. This looks pretty good too. Read more at DVICE.

  • Windows 7 BETA  - The awaited OS for 2009(?) was showcased at CES and is FREE for download. The demo expires on August 1, 2009 and is limited for 2.5M users as reported by Engadget. However, servers seem to be down for downloading as of the moment. Get your finger on that F5 button over at Microsoft download site (or other download sites)!

There are a lot of other gadgets not covered in this post like the 3D gaming shades, an abundance of new netbooks and non-netbooks and MacWorld where Steve Jobs was absent. Head on over to http://ces.cnet.com to see their full coverage of CES 2009!
