Common Sense… Duh?

Have you ever encountered an incident where someone told you “this and that were plain common sense?

One morning during a group discussion in class, we talked about what to teach little children and the methods of doing so. We came to the topic of courtesy and while discussing the basics of home etiquette and grooming, eventually one member said, “That’s just common sense.”

It is common sense for us but is it common sense for the children?
